Instructions
By default the search engine will return a list
of matching documents which contain any of the words entered in the search dialog box.
moving storage
This search would return all documents that
contain either of the words moving or storage. Only one of the words need to appear in the
document for it to be listed in the results.
To search for documents that contain all words
entered in the search dialog box place the word AND between each of the words.
moving AND storage AND York
This search would return all documents
containing the words moving, storage and York. All three words must be present in the
document for it to be listing in the results
To exclude documents from the list of results
that might contain words you are looking for place NOT before the word you would like to
exclude.
moving NOT storage
This search would return all documents that
contain the word moving but exclude those documents that also contain the word storage.
Wildcard search requires the use of the *
(asterisk). When placed before or after a word the asterisk tells the search engine to
accept any characters before or after the the word you have entered in the search dialog
box.
mov*
This search would return documents containing
the words mover, movers, moving and movies.
*round
This search would return documents containing
the words round, ground and surround.
